Experience
I’ve worked in the field of psychology for over 15 years. My clinical background includes seven years at the VA Salt Lake City, specializing in residential treatment of substance use disorders and PTSD in Veterans after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in addiction treatment. I also worked for over four years at Greenwell Psychology & Consulting, a practice in Salt Lake City, UT, that specializes in high intensity professions, burnout, perfectionism, PTSD, and other trauma responses.
Prior to coming to Utah, I worked for three years as part of a Certified DBT Program at The Wake Kendall Group in Washington, D.C., after completing intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech. As of 2026, I am also trained in Integrative MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD (IMAP) through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Research Background
Earlier in my career, I worked in psychology research with Dr. Amishi Jha at the University of Miami, focused on how mindfulness affects attention and memory, as well as with Dr. Dan Siegel at UCLA examining mindfulness, attachment, and neuroplasticity. I’ve published over ten peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, primarily on mindfulness and related topics.
